Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Technician

Full-Time Position
We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Technician to join a leading power generation facility in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and optimizing instrumentation, control systems, PLCs, and DCS equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on I&C and DCS systems
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, PLC, and control system issues
• Support planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities
• Conduct calibration and testing of plant instrumentation
• Assist in maintaining maximum plant availability and reliability
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records through CMMS
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues
Requirements:
• Diploma in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in power plants, preferably CCGT and Gas Turbine facilities
• Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC programming, instrumentation, and calibration
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Good troubleshooting, reporting, and communication skills
• Middle East experience is an advantage
